Have you heard these words : Froyo, Gingerbread, Ice cream etc.. , and what is Android 2.0, Android 1.6, Android 2.2, etc..
Here's a brief description.
For each release of Android OS (operating system), Instead of using the Version, Android also uses the name taken from Dessert or Sugary treat, which each release is given name alphabetically from previous releases. C (cupcake), D (Donut), E (eclair).. etc.
Android V 1.5 = Cupcake
Android V 1.6 = Donut
Android V 2.0/2.1 = Eclair
Android V 2.2 = Froyo: Frozen Yogurt
Android V 2.3 = Gingerbread
Android V3.0 /3.1 = Honeycomb
Android V 4.0 = ICS: Ice Cream Sandwich
Android V 4.1 = Jelly Bean
Usually when you look at Android About (in the Setting menu) you can see only the Android version, so if you want to know the name of it's OS, see the brief description above.
